Kayla's in PICU at Hospital

Kayla all taped up and not feeling too good. This was her 2nd day in PICU.


Kayla has been battling fevers, coughs, congestion for the last few weeks. LeJoy and Larry have taken her to the Dr. 3 times in the last few weeks. Larry took them on Monday after she was not getting better over the weekend and the Dr. said "virus" on Thurs. but Miss Kayla was very sick by Monday. The Dr. sent them straight to Texas Children's Hospital. She got worse there in ER and they sent her to PICU where they gave her 2 1/2 hrs. of Albuterol (sp?) which was all they could do at the time.

She's now on IVs for fluids and antibiotics running through her body. Also, they've got an oxygen mask on her as her SATS go down everytime they try to wean her off the mask. She wants her daddy, so, Larry gets the honor of staying up with her all night at the Hospital. LeJoy's been coming home at night to sleep and take care of the dog.

I have pictures that I got today of her, she looks so sad with paddles on both hands and IVs in both arms. Then, monitors all over her chest and some things even on her toes! Will get the pictures on soon.

Thank you for prayers, we are praying she'll get to come home by Christmas Day ~ but, no one can say for sure right now.
