Christmas at Hospital Room - Texas Childrens Hospital - Houston, TX

Cooper enjoyed the stocking ~ at least he got to open his gifts on Christmas Day 2008.

Pops opens a gift from Cooper and Kayla! Luckily their mommy and daddy shop early and get it all done in time for Christmas every year.

Pretty Nurse giving Kayla a breathing treatment ~ we tease Larry about enjoying the pretty young nurses at the Hospital!

More Kayla pictures...she's getting tired of this place.

Christmas at the Hospital....we baggged up all the gifts for LeJoy and Larry, Cooper and Kayla an took them to the Hospital. The staff was very nice and never told us we had too many people in the room!

Cooper enjoyed opening his gifts....he loves the paper more than the gift right now.

The lovely Hospital Room - Lexis is sitting on the bench that Larry sleeps on at night. I'm sure not very comfortable, but, LeJoy says Larry can sleep anywhere! I hope she's right!

Poor Cooper is house bound to the Hospital room...he's not too happy right now with this situation and can't wait to get home to his house, his bed, his toys and Daisy his dog!

Sister's talking about something.............

Christmas at HOME.....Landon wrapped Lexis' bed pillows and 10 pd. weights in a huge box with his small gift that was finally wrapped in electrical tape.....a whole roll. He likes to pull these weird packages on his sister every year!!!

Gorgeous PINK Poinsettias I found at Wal Mart this year!

Landon and Valerie open gifts.

Packages under the tree....Turqoise Ornaments - Turqoise Gift Wrap....the kids teased me about the color and then I saw in Better Homes and Garden Magazine that Turquoise and Orange was the color for trees this year!!! I didn't add the orange ribbons though!!

The tree this year.....I wish the ornaments showed up better...there were some really pretty ones that I got 90% off after Christmas last year.
Most slept late at our house, Cooper and LeJoy spent Christmas Eve with us and got up early in order to go back to the hospital for their family Christmas in Kayla's room. Luckily, they gave her a big private room with a restroom and shower and sleeping couch for parents. She was moved yesterday morning to PCU a level down from Pediatric ICU, her sats are still low when they try to remove the oxygen mask, so, they are waiting until she's able to breath better.
Cooper and I got up at 6:00 a.m. and visited some - he's still not feeling so great. He's cranky and when I tried to get him to eat and drink.....he said "no way" ! He did eat one bite of banana and fruit chewy pieces...and a cup of milk. He's such a good eater and this is very unusual for him not to eat.
Here are some pictures of Christmas morning.....Landon's not feeling too good either, he's been battling congestion, coughing, head ache....now, he says his stomach hurts. To top it off - his cat "Stevey Ray" got sick last night...we've been noticing that he's really thin....it seems he had some sort of seizure last night. Uncle Joe is sending some meds. for him to feel better - he thinks it's a virus.
LeJoy has a head cold, but, can't stay away from the hospital because of that.....no one has tried to kick her out of there yet!
The rest of us feel OK....just a little weird as this Christmas is very different from our usual plans for Christmas events.
None of us are very hungry so we canceled the turkey and will have it New Years Day......David bought some yummy steaks that will we cook this evening. We had breakfast foods and everyone is full right now.
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Holiday with your families. It's very warm here ... @ 70 degrees....so, it's a great day if you get a bicycle for Christmas!
