We've had a Texas Cold Snap come through this past week.....of course, it's from the Northern parts coming to visit us for a few days.
We had to cover the exposed pipes outside the house and have kept a fire in the fireplace most evenings. In 20 years of living in this house, we've never had the fire going this much in one winter.
The lowest temperature was 18 degrees on Friday morning....in the 20's the rest of the weekend. During the daylight the sun has brightly shone and it's warmed to 40's. So, it could be much worse.
No snow or ice on the roads at this time.
Next week it's going to warm up to the 50's ..... so we are looking forward to the warm front to move through.
The ONLY good thing about a "freeze" in this part of the world is.......the mosquitoes won't be so bad this year!
Hope the rest of you are staying warm and having a great winter. Our Oklahoma family is very tired of the snow there and looking forward to SPRING in Oklahoma soon.
