“Happy New Year 2012”

The Davis Fam had a great year 2011 with everyone staying well and only a minor motor-cycle accident!

Lots of Home Improvements with insurance replaced flooring in the entry and family room of our house due to tiny leak in a place that took 3 plumbing companies to locate! Since one company cut into our den walls ~ insurance got to replace that wall and completely paint the entire den. It was quite a process that took several months, but, we love the results.

In August, David had a covered deck built on the back of the house as Libby’s been asking for one for a very long time! It’s huge and has rails around the deck that make it look like another room in the house. The family had Thanksgiving Dinner on the new deck this year. Our dogs enjoy it most during the day.

David & Libby – Celebrated our 38th Anniversary in June. Both are working and keeping busy with jobs. Libby has 10 years Oct. 1st with the State of Texas!

Lincoln – is 32 years old and he’s working construction jobs that take him out of town some weeks. On Mother’s Day he had the minor motorcycle accident in his church parking lot. Thankfully, no broken bones but it took some skin off his arms. He sold the Motorcycle and we are MOST thankful for this.

LeJoy (31) & Larry – are keeping busy with raising 2 children and they both work full-time. Larry is with the Houston Fire Dept. and LeJoy with Allstate. LeJoy downsized to a Toyota Camry recently due to the Toyota Sequoia gas mileage!

Landon – is 23 and had the busiest year probably in our family! He became engaged to his girlfriend, Valerie, after 7 years dating. They are planning a wedding ~ Fall of 2012. (Valerie's picture is on New Year's Card)

In December, Landon graduated University of Houston with his Mechanical Engineering Degree. The first Engineer in either family blood lines as far as we know! It was interesting watching him work on his homework that looked like “jibber jabber” on the white boards.

We are most excited that he has a J.O.B. with Chevron Phillips nearby in Cedar Bayou. Valerie is a brand new Registered Nurse with Texas Children’s and both love having a Career!

Lexis – is 20 years old and working at Houston Community Bank as a teller. She LOVES this job…..after working for Chick-fila and the fast speed there for 3 years we thought she might not like the slow pace of a bank. She was able to purchase her own vehicle….all on her own….she researched lots of cars and took a month to decide on the exact vehicle. Her bank qualified her for a loan with no co-signer and she went to the Car Dealer and made the deal!

Cooper and Kayla are “5” now! Our precious GRAND TWINS are perfect. They are rambunctious and busy 24/7 but, they are well and they are learning to write and to read. They are so smart even though they are still in Pre-School due to their Sept. Birth date. They bring so much JOY to our family.
