It's early morning and Libby is the only one up......Santa got all the gifts under the tree and even the ones that were MIA were found on Christmas Eve!!! Note to Self - don't hide things away from the house or you will not remember where they are located.
Layla, the cat, and I are wroking on last minute printing of "coupons" bought through the wonderful world of technology and these fabulous sites that people in High School (or look it) have developed with their creative minds.
I'll post pictures as soon as I can get them off my phone. There used to be an email that I could post pictures directly to the Blog - the link has been lost somewhere in translation!!
All the family was present except for future daughter in law who is a new nurse at Texas Children's Hospital and had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day........she got Thanksgiving off this year. Blessings to all the nurses who give up their Holidays to serve patients who are ill and need their services.
We think the kids all enjoyed their gifts ~ it's harder to buy for older kids..........they don't say what they want and we don't know what they want. So - there were gift cards given to places we know they like to shop. That seems like the easy way out, but, it saves the kids the process of returning items they really don't like. You know the drill the week after Christmas in the return lines! NOT FUN.
The dinner came from Honeybaked Ham this year - we all enjoyed the food. Had cookies for dessert and gobs of candy in our stockings. Santa goes overboard on buying candy that we don't want the twins eating and the rest of us don't really need to eat either!!
Happy New Year is next..............
